teaching strategies with online & Blended learning

Projects completed in this course as a graduate student at CU Denver:

Online Teaching Plan of Action

Using the Quality Learning & Teaching (QLT) Framework

Based upon nine categories of the Quality Learning & Teaching (QLT) Instrument, describe your immediate and future plans for teaching strategies in online and blended learning.

Microteaching Demonstration

Faculty Training Module on Online Engagement & Interaction

My Microteaching Demonstration involves one module of a three-module training that equips faculty new to online teaching in engagement and interaction with their online students. It covers three core online learning activities: text-based Threaded Discussions, video-based VoiceThread Discussions, and synchronous Zoom Sessions. See PDF for more details and screenshots.

Discussion Facilitation Project

Establishing Instructor Presence through Online Discussions

My team’s Discussion Facilitation Project involved a role play where learners were asked to engage with each other on a topic as both the student and the instructor. Learners were given practice in responding to ‘students’ as their ‘instructors’ by applying instructor interaction strategies with thoughtful reply posts that stimulated critical thinking and further next-level discussion.
